Go off the beaten track

Crete is home to roughly 400 gorges, of which 50 are in or close to the White Mountains. The most famous is Samaria and at 16km in length, it’s one of the longest gorges in Europe. If you fancy taking your jeep or SUV there it’s best to start in Chania, where you can pick up your rental vehicle at one of our offices or we can drop it off at your hotel for free. You can also pick it up in Rethymno or Heraklion or at any one of our convenient collection points.
