Is there an age restriction for renting a car?
The driver must be a minimum of 23 years of age. At the time of the rental, the driver must have been in possession of a valid driving license for at least 12 months.
Can I rent a car for one day?
Yes. The minimum duration for car rental is one day (24 hours).
What happens if I get a penalty ticket?
Any speeding penalties, parking tickets or any other penalties or offenses that violate Greek law will be charged to the customer.
Do I need to return the car with a full tank?
Rental cars are provided with a full tank and should be returned with the same amount of fuel. If there is less fuel than at the start of the rental the driver will be billed for the discrepancy.
How can I pay?
Rent Car in Crete has a secure online booking system that allows you to book your car rental in Crete at any time. After your reservation has been received you will be sent a final availability confirmation by the Customer Service team, this may take a few hours. After receipt of the confirmation, you can proceed to make a payment via credit card.

Do I have to pay in advance?
We will ask you to pay 20% of the total rental amount in advance. The amount will be invoiced accordingly.
Can I cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to seven days before the pick-up date.
What cover is included in my insurance?
As a customer of rentcarincrete.gr you are insured in the following cases:
– Personal injury of up to €750,000
– Damage to property of up to €750,000
– Theft of up to €20,000
– Windscreen damage, property damage for uninsured car, legal protection insurance for car, owner and driver up to €20,000 each
– Private accident insurance: death or permanent disability, treatment costs of up to €30,000 will be covered.

Can I be picked up from the airport and dropped back there?
You can choose a pick-up location at the airport, a hotel or in the city.
Do I have to pay separately for the pick-up locations?
We offer free pick-up and drop-off at Chania airport, Heraklion airports and all central locations in Crete. Pick-up at other locations will incur an additional charge.
Do the rental rates include taxes?
All taxes are included in our prices. There are no hidden costs for car delivery when you rent with us.
Is my rental vehicle equipped with road assistance and repair service?
Yes. Rent Car in Crete offers 24-hour roadside assistance, which includes a fast breakdown and recovery service, and roadside repairs.
